Coffee Shop Offerings
organic fair trade and direct trade
OUR COFFEES MEET HIGH STANDARDS OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY
ORGANIC ESPRESSO (OE)
Our signature espresso blend is rich and complex with aromas of dark chocolate, butterscotch and praline. A deep, silky, amber crema with a sweet, caramel finish.
SISTERS
(My Half Signature Women-Produced Blend)
Sisters is our tribute to female coffee farmers around the world. As the specialty coffee industry has made notable strides toward gender equity, women-produced offerings have increased in availability and quality. To celebrate these exceptional coffees and the dedicated producers behind them, we’ve blended selections from small-scale, women-led farms in Latin America, Africa, and Indonesia. The resulting cup is balanced and chocolatey with a pleasant acidity and light citrus and tropical fruit notes.
SUMATRA HIGHLANDS
Single Origin I Organic I Medium Roast
From the northern tip of the western Indonesian island of Sumatra, this roast has notes of molasses, spices and pineapple. The rich, volcanic soils and unique cultivars create a cup profile prized for its complexity and rich, syrupy body. Sourced from the most reputable Fair Trade cooperatives that are dedicated to continuous quality improvements as well as providing economic and social benefits for their many members. This lot of Sumatra Fair Trade/Organic Highlands comes from the Arisarina cooperative.
ORGANIC DECAF
Shade Grown
A seasonally rotating selection of shade-grown, water-process decaf beans chosen to maintain a consistently full-bodied, low-acid coffee with a sweet finish.
MEXICO Kulaktiv
Single Origin I Organic I Medium Roast
Located in the highlands of Chiapas, the group now boasts more than 250 members who grow fairtrade coffee at elevations ranging from 1,350 to 1,800 meters. After years of dependence on outside organizations, Kulaktik – meaning “vine” in the Mayan language Tzeltal – now carries its own export license and continues to focus on quality improvements. The result is a coffee rich in flavors of plum, dark chocolate, and concord grape with a medium body.
PEACEMAKERS
Organic I Medium Roast
As a straight shot, our Fairtrade Peacemaker Espresso carries notes of cherry, lemon and spicy chocolate to create a bright, full and balanced espresso.
GUATEMALA QUETZAL
Single Origin I Organic I Light-Medium Roast
This exceptional roast coffee is produced on the southwestern shores of Lago de Atitlán. It is there that Tz'utujil-speaking, small-scale Mayan farmers grow typica, bourbon, caturra, and red and yellow catuaí cultivars at an average of 1,600 meters above sea level. The full body and juicy acidity take flight when rounded out by flavors of milk chocolate, citrus, and tropical fruits.
